    • Cook Group Incorporated is an American privately held company based in Bloomington, Indiana, and primarily involved in manufacturing of medical devices. Bill Cook collaborated with many physicians in Interventional Radiology and other specialties to grow Cook, Inc. into the world’s largest family-owned medical device manufacturer. It was ranked #324 in Forbes’ 2008 America’s Largest Private Companies. Helped company understand the value of their vascular access, airway access and chest drainage catheter kits for emergency department (ED) practice and assisted the company in streamlining the item count and packaging the kits to best support emergency clinicians thereby opening new market sector for existing products.
    • Sorenson Research Company by 1972 offered nearly 500 healthcare products, employed 1,700 people and was the most innovative biotechnology company in the country. Sold to Abbott Laboratories in 1980, Sorenson Research became Abbott Critical Care Systems – one of Abbott’s most profitable divisions, later spun off as Hospira. Collaborated in design and improvement of autotransfusion device including clinical trials demonstrating safety and efficacy resulting in wide uptake in trauma treatment.

    • Trained pharmaceutical company representatives including those from Smith-Kline, Glaxo and Eli Lilly in the approach to both hospital based and ambulatory, out-patient based practitioners.

    • Whitepaper, blog posts and presentations to vendors including Physio-Control, PatientSafe Solutions and Infor. Also, startup companies in business accelerators including Startup Health, Blueprint Health, NY Digital Health Accelerator.

    • Emergency Medicine Business Intelligence develops and delivers performance dashboards, key metric analytics, and benchmarking for emergency departments and other healthcare operational entities. Lead generation, “warm handoffs” and sales support at sales calls and national professional meetings. 
  • Navigating the culture of the health delivery enterprise
    • Avado is “the GPS for healthcare. Helps people communicate where they are in their health journey and their doctor guide them to full health.” Sold to WebMD October 2013. Advised Avado CEO on messaging and gained support of clinicians for project leaders for pilots at the hospital and in the health home.
